Fremantle Amateur

Angling Club

The Fremantle Amateur Angling Club (FAAC) is a BEACH and ROCK and ESTUARY Recreational fishing club with a proud history

The Club was originally formed in Western Australia on the 28th of July, 1958 by a dedicated group of sixteen amateur fishermen. Over the past 60 plus years the culture of the Club has developed as a friendly group of people who enjoy fishing, and the opportunity to fish in a variety of locations while being prepared to both share their knowledge and experience and to learn from others.

The Club continues to cater for competitive & noncompetitive anglers alike and has always included families being men, women & children whose diverse lifestyles all encompass a common interest in fishing. Our competition record in State Championships identifies us as one of the more successful Beach and Rock fishing clubs in all divisions, including Mens, Ladies, Juniors, Mini-Juniors and Veterans.

The Club encourages members to fish sustainably and responsibly by applying conservative size and/or bag limits to some fish species for Club Field Day scoring purposes. These additional limits do not replace existing fisheries management legislation, and do not prevent members from catching and keeping the balance of what they are entitled to under the legislation.
